Common conditions
Search by symptom
Many patients seek help after a long period of constipation that does not improve, bloating and gas, heartburn or reflux, chronic diarrhea, swallowing difficulty, incomplete evacuation, symptoms after meals or fecal leakage. In these situations, the goal is to understand whether the symptoms are related to a functional disorder, a motility disorder, inflammatory bowel disease or another condition that requires focused testing.
Tests and procedures
Choosing the right test helps define how the digestive system is functioning and supports a personalized treatment plan.
Clinical approach
In functional and motility disorders of the digestive system, precise evaluation is especially important: the source may be the esophagus, stomach, bowel, pelvic floor or a combination of several systems.
